About

Who are we?

We're Sam and Breanna, the couple behind Southstill. Our lives are a little bit of everything. We love the idea of a quiet homestead, a house full of kids and animals, and having the freedom to build a life that feels like our own. We both grew up in the South, surrounded by the kind of places where you can spend an entire afternoon outside without running out of things to do. It's a big part of who we are, and a big part of why we love calling South Georgia and North Florida home. And we'd love for you to get to know us a little better.

    Hey! I'm Samuel.

I grew up on a large property in Moultrie, Georgia, where I was homeschooled my entire life. I spent just about every free minute doing one of three things: exploring the woods, building something, or getting into something I probably wasn't supposed to.

I've always loved figuring out how things work. As a kid, that usually meant taking something apart, building something completely unnecessary, or coming up with an ambitious project that was probably a little beyond my abilities.

When I wasn't outside, I was usually glued to a computer.

I was a huge gamer growing up, but computers eventually became a lot more than entertainment for me. My dad owns Charis Technology, an IT company, and technology has always been a big part of my world.

My first real introduction to creative work was through Photoshop and graphic design. I loved being able to start with absolutely nothing and turn it into something that looked professional. After spending quite a while learning graphic design, I discovered music production, and that quickly became my biggest passion.

In 2021, I started TRIFREEZE, LLC. What began as a YouTube channel teaching people how to make music eventually grew to more than 130,000 subscribers and became my full time career.

That journey has given me opportunities I never would've expected as a kid. I've worked with platinum selling and Grammy winning artists and producers, collaborated with major companies in the music technology industry, and spent years learning about audio, video, marketing, and creative production.

And the funny thing is, underneath all of that, I'm still the same kid who likes building things.

I love learning new skills, working with my hands, experimenting with technology, and taking on projects that are probably more complicated than they need to be. I'm also a big car enthusiast, particularly when it comes to my Mustang, and I could talk about cars or music for an unreasonable amount of time.

I've always been a people person, too. I love conversations, and I genuinely enjoy meeting people with completely different lives and experiences from my own.

    I met Breanna in 2023.

The next couple of years weren't exactly what either of us expected. Between 2023 and 2024, I went through some of the hardest circumstances of my life, including losing the house and my job.

It was a period of uncertainty, starting over, and figuring things out as we went.

Breanna stayed through all of it.

She's been there through the good decisions, the bad decisions, the unexpected setbacks, and everything in between. Going through that much together so early in our relationship taught me a lot about what really matters.

Today, I'm incredibly grateful that we get to build a life together.

My long term dream is pretty simple: a piece of land, a home we've made our own, a family, a couple of horses, and enough room to keep building things.

    Preferably with a big garage.

And maybe a few more horses.

I'm just genuinely happy to be here, doing creative work, meeting good people, and getting to share this life with my wife.

    Breanna Cherry

    I'm Breanna.

I grew up in North Florida, around Tallahassee and Monticello, and I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember.

And when I say animal lover, I really mean it.

I've owned just about every kind of pet you can imagine, and if you get me talking about them, there's a good chance we'll be there for a while.

I've always been drawn to nature, animals, and the little things that make life feel special. I love gardening, cooking, homesteading, and learning how to be more self sufficient. There's something really satisfying about growing something yourself, making something from scratch, or learning a skill that makes you a little less dependent on the outside world.

I've also been creative for pretty much my entire life.

My interest in photography actually started when I was a little girl and received a camera for Christmas.

I fell in love with taking pictures, and photography has been part of my life ever since.

I've always enjoyed drawing, knitting, and all kinds of art. I love the process of creating things, whether that's through a camera, with my hands, in the garden, or in the kitchen.

Photography has a special place in my heart because it gives me a way to hold on to moments that otherwise might be forgotten.

I love the natural, imperfect, real parts of life. Those are often the things you end up appreciating most when you look back.

One of my biggest dreams has always been becoming a mother.

I want to raise a family, spend time at home with my children, have animals running around, grow our own food, and create the kind of home where there's always something cooking or something growing.

I'm especially passionate about homesteading and learning the skills that come with it. Gardening and cooking are two of my favorite things, and I'm always interested in learning more.

I also live with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), which has been a big part of my journey toward understanding my health and taking better care of myself.

It's pushed me to learn more about nutrition, ingredients, and how to prepare foods that work better for my body. I've come a long way, and I'm still learning every day.

If you're dealing with something similar, please feel free to ask me about it! I'm always happy to share my own experiences and talk with someone who understands.

Between photography, animals, cooking, gardening, and dreaming up our future home, I have plenty of things keeping me busy.

But photography is something I'm especially excited to share with other people.

I know how intimidating it can feel to be in front of a camera, especially when you aren't used to having your picture taken. My goal is to make it feel relaxed and comfortable, without expecting you to know how to pose or act like someone you're not.

I want you to look at your pictures and recognize yourself.

And hopefully, have a good time taking them, too.

Your moments. Our time. No rush.
